all knowledge digs its own grave
using the shovel of time.
and we, as the grips of that action,
make it so,
as our experience of this,
is its own funeral in passing.
memory becomes visitations
to the various grave sites
in the cemetery of the mind.
bring fresh cut flowers with you
so that the memory of death
can be so emotionally honored
by fragrant colorful plant life deaths
each unto the other,
journey, side by side.
