to foreground others as to hide,

to be serviceable as to hide,

to be all eyes looking as to hide,

to minimally say as to hide,

to praise others or to boast as to hide.

to hide as if hidden,

to be opinionated as to hide,

to be a moralists as to hide,

to be pragmatic as to hide,

to be a separatist as to hide.

to be in deep water at high tide to hide,

to play hide and seek and never be found,

to profess profoundly as to hide,

to lie straight-faced as to hide,

to be truthful to questions as to hide.

to do everything possible as to hide,

to use business as to hide,

to project the narrative as to hide,

to love abundantly everyone as to hide,

to be blatantly, be helpful, as to hide.

to have nothing or everything as to hide,

to profess narrow mindedness as to hide,

to have hidden agendas made out to hide,

to have careers, families, partners as to hide.

what hides drives, 

when down a lonely road.

and when it gets where it wants to go,

it may realize, 

it made a wrong turn, somewhere, 

way back there,

where all that hiding takes precedence.

for now, only to discover,

that all that hiding,

only hid from oneself . . .
