the era of deep thought 6/5/19

‘think’ had a life of mental gymnastics.

retentive mind was the olympic player.

I.Q. was a medal of honor.

getting quantifiable results was the measure.

audience appeal ranged from education

to business acumen personified.

one-step-solutions, wildly evidential,

got lots of audience appreciation.

fast money was incentivized for results.

the whole phenomenon had wild appeal.

players entered from all directions.

the american-dream became a moneyed wall paper 

for every success to be wall-to-wall room-filled.

achievement seemed to be the common measure.

then came status, wealth projection,

the elitism of purchase,

the power over other people,

the sovereignty of brand as borderline sacred.

some successes insatiability surfaced.

answers provided were not quite the means.

the objects of acquisition

were not the rewards as if from results.

sure, manifest had its obvious rewards

but not the adventure without an endpoint in sight.

it was discovered:

that the goal was not as rich as the journey,

that the hunger for journey ran deeper

than any results could attain,

that search was essentially more valuable

than seizure could represent.

for all of seizures eventually become custodial.

they feature historical and become iconoclastic.

to that which thought, if captured by this,

would have no life-giving life.

‘thought' then thought about ‘thought’ itself.

the one tick pony of mindfulness 

that was used for apparent success.

but that thought is all externally made evident

as if stolen from the womb of its creation.

‘thought’ had to deconstruct to reconstruct.

how ‘thought’ thought of itself

became square one.

how to invent who is witness to thought

while thought occurs

without radical intervention as disturbance.

how to, for the lack of better words,

how to multi-realm without mindful congestion. 

how to cross dialogue internally 

without destruction or collapse of means.

the need to build a stature of witness to think

then of witness to witness about think.

so that think was the experiment

lead on by the carrots produced as thought,

while self-witness observed and dialogued,

eventually in a witness to advance witness ways.

thus the continuum of deep thought,

became the inner caverns and caves 

of unquantifiable discoveries 

of how ‘thought’ is its own reward.

the painted caves of thought brought to words

the pallet of concepts for ‘thought’ to ponder with.

where within does ‘thought’ have the passion

to produce from the previously unknown?

what tracks in the snowfall of the mind-melt

does one mind patiently track 

to make memorable angels of ‘thought’ in the snow?

‘deep thought’ is encouraged to leave the mundane,

to release from the gimmick of results,

to be banished from the audiences of production,

to take a leave from the evidential

and venture deeply within,

to forget the carriage driving whys

and search, inwardly search for the mind-hows,

to not force for purpose

but to follow with a delicate means,

to carry a mind presence with expansive buoyancy,

to fight off the kibitz of conclusions,

to quiet the backtalk of logic’s intervention,

to have sight and sense 

before the serfdom of naming and certitude,

to give deep thought the capacity of levity

beyond dimensional wisdom’s lockdown

or even without understanding’s endless kneading.

deep thought, giving life, 

by the demystification of vacancy of mind

and how that that was thought as empty 

can come into this ‘deep-thought’ mindful embrace . . .
