light experienced 6/10/19

the lightening from the deep sky magic

can start a ground-fire earth born ignited.

the sky magic dances to a different melody,

ever moving on,

while the ground-fire’s collateral concerns

become topical and widespread.

earthbound feeds on memories and immediacies. 

lightening releases while fire consumes.

all the while, humans having perspectives,

fearing the lightening but needing the fire,

then fearing the fire. 

as smoke rises into clear skies, 

as thermal denials ascending, 

present their cloud-face case,

the fire state is coming from just a kiss

but then becoming an infernal overstated. 

but the sky stays fairly current 

in its invisible daily habits,

while the earth proceeds, 

burdened with memories.

the physical state of being earthbound 

is slower on surrender and release.

earth has a clemency, much like the sky,

but leaves relics and disfigurement. 

no attempt at a clean slate left 

without the linger of evidence.

fire oversells its circumstance 

as blaze then refuse,

while sky understates its dynamic until boom.

even though thunder is a clearing of it’s throat,

sky is ever forgiving of its disturbances

while the earth is ever so slow 

in the story-telling and the eventual recovery.

we, betwixt, as if children before these story-tellers,

listening and absorbing the profound spoken

from both sky and from ground.

light being the main character in both stories.

there is a religion in both of their presence

until we, on our own, deeply discover 

the light from within, our beings

that carries on, in its own traditions

through release and revelations.

the interior terrain of humanness 

needs to be explored,

until light experienced from within

is not seen or felt as harmful or disturbing . . .
