news media has created 

the fashion show of victimhood

anointing as announcing 

the parlay of emotions

the fabric of feelings being currently worn

we are of the attention-grab of audience

not eyewitnesses, 

no not friends or neighbors

although they could be additives 

to the storyline

what all are the descriptions 

to victimhood possible?

news media has researches and pondered.

it is the eye-catching test that they live by

and that we verify by a sense of inclusion

hurt me ever so slightly 

by the details provided

they didn't want the empathy 

but really wanted 

the attention span lengthened

train me to watch commercials 

in the same like

with the same impressionability assigned

we live in the commercialization 

of victimhood for profit

we are trained on plunder 

to provide for profit

newsworthy is only emotional aroma 

filling the airways

what makes you think 

the producer is biblical in nature

he or she is bottomline 

in the science of attention-grab

it's hard to have 

pleasantries and profit linked

when not in the first person 

present and participating

I just want to go back 

to the days of face-to-face

maybe it was simple life presenting

what is so naive of me 

to have fresh-face reality in front of me

I'm not asking for child-like 

but I am requesting the possibility 

of first-person trust

victimhood is promotional 

when presented in this way

we are all consequence

asking for dreams to kiss it

and make it better. 

information got ugly doing what it now does

we have all been profiled 

for the benefit of profit

this collusion will never have a face

it is a kind of war 

where everyone is a bit player

not realizing the reach or the depth 

of the storyline

victimhood is an off branch of beauty

it applies the same techniques of observation

resulting in the same response techniques 

to be used

but at the far end 

of the account spectrum implied

news itself is basically where not to go

and what not to do 

but done with plication 

of human interest in mind

it features dead-end empathy

in which you have the feeling 

but are truly remote 

to the moment of the beings

thus a new feeling state is created 

that serves its worth 

as a recruiter of attention

but binds one 

as audience attentive in reserve

victimhood is a wealth of potential 

in newsworthiness served
