you can't observe stillness
with the motion of watching stillness,
and get into stillness.
you can't be the observant of meditation
and get into meditation.
observant states pass themselves off
as clones and act-a-likes.
experience is a pretentious masquerade
in that regard.
you can have all the dance moves,
even look like you are dancing.
but seriously, not be dancing,
even though by evidence,
you can prove that you are dancing.
but by spirit and by joy of being,
so not true.
experience can be a nose-ring
that will not get you
into altered states of consciousness.
as reading the directions
does not already complete the task.
somewhere from within
has to risk,
the impossible,
the unknown,
the mysterious,
the exotic,
even the calling,
from deep within the soul . . .
