flow is in the non-flow
either of a great and grander scale
or wild as intimately myopic.
non-flow is an observational standstill
that we claim as sensory-justified.
flow is us humming along
as if we know the melody.
non-flow, for us,
is ponder
resulting in 'know' moving parts.
we are regulatory in that regard.
we don't really run the races,
we select to judge them.
we self-assign to flow-account
animation as our form of steadfastness.
everything in fast-stillness is a letdown.
we are the restless-leg syndrome of observation.
we are all checkers,
board without touch.
some of us would rather experience hurt
rather than the silence of wellness.
flow is scary in that way.
if it is too steadfast subtle,
we want to saw off the limb beneath us.
flow is from octaves expressing,
from duck duck goose
to waterfall mist upon us
to bustle with purpose
to rest assured free-falling.
flow has aliveness written all over it
yet non-flow is stubborn in the surround,
inviting us to delve, to burrow,
to rummage and unearth.
for flow has no ending,
only its further discovery
as humanly possible
as its means . . .
