the leverage work of evidence
cast tall shadows from intention's sun
evidence itself is a deck of cards
gathered together as if ordered pictorials
sequenced to be played on logic's table
a common interest of mind sets the table
then shares the unfolding view
where all wait for the fifth card on the river
each piece of evidence lays there
subject to each person's interpretation
the premise of guilt or innocence is at work
maybe its just a game of right or wrong
but hands are held
and evidence is played into conclusion's wake
maybe it is deeply engrained within
that we all agreed to play
sensory is the summoning
storylines are constantly being dealt
some fold while others keen in
as if evidence stands for the face of truth to be told
yet some books don't read chapter by chapter
the mind game continues
as if awake-ness really matters
as gaming is the only apparent play
how did evidence get so thick
so stationary as if postured
all of these things, as it were
all had a life
before posing in this way
humans recruit whatever
making artifacts pose
with suspect status as shadows for stature
somehow I am presumed to conclude
but I am privately suspect
that all printed surfaces that pose as these cards
in these cases are not printed with logical ink
that the fashion show of presentation is rigged
that being a person of interest is a fault trait of mine
and that the leverage work of evidence
is my profiling inanimate objects as a skill
is personally done by me to a fault
as I come to blame living
by my self perspective . . .
