the blacksmith and the glass blower,
they meet over rising heat.
facing the contained confessional for melt to occur.
one for iron to be shaped into shoes of fit worthiness
the other for shapes of colorful lookings
to be contoured into curvatures of breathtaking beauty.
both work the medium of fire,
the liquidity of material,
and forge the end results with purpose
to share their wealth pronounced,
functionally for the benefit of others.
intent and reverence play strong roles in both.
fire is their mother of the moment.
the deeds themselves take form from mastery.
the tending can have spiritual attention refined.
heart and heed go hand in hand.
someday, iron of bowls, vases and reflectives
while horseshoes of glass gallop onward reflecting light,
as we all meet over the risings
of heartfelts out of heat . . .
