coming from 1/7/16

we are all coming from the same essence of being
where meaning has not yet come into existence.
we initially come from the physics of isness
which carries on with this essence of being
before the table scraps of our meaningful lives
are served in a daily fashion.
do you remember, all of those tiny,
tiny portions of timeless time
that are the prominent environment
before the sweep of familiarity
labor us in the overrides?
it may be the natural environment
where dreams have permission to enter
even though they will eventually dress up
in familial gear, and register as in languaged.
it may be the environment
where hearts handshake and hug
behind recognition’s standards of approval.
it may even be where intuitions live the nocturnal life,
have the bright eyes
and do not require the rational glare of the sun
for growth full of insight or permission for existence.
this is where life is eternally rich
before meaning became the creep, the snitch,
the informer, the auditor, the account, the manager,
or the dictator as the supreme ruler
so adaptively named as if of the land.
before meaning became the lyrics of the song,
the dance wasn’t a wandering but a streaming.
meaning has given us still-shots and compositional clutter
meaning has placed restraints on isness
and has given us the life of symbols,
the bleed of plausibility,
and the breath-work of directives.
we have become bystanders to ourselves!
meaning is the artwork of the mind,
looking for buyers and placement for further reference.
meaning has given us the hunt of the scent,
the rendering of clarity out from camouflage,
the taste for palate approval,
and the feel for separates identified,
coming into range.
meaning has allowed me to cough up
a storm of recognition
and to survive the wherewithal of its existence.
I have taken up a language
that separates me from my soul,
that allows me to speak to you from exile . . .
so I am coming from . . .
(well, how meaningful, meaning less, is that?)
