maybe, in an original stance,
effort had a workload identity.
effort had fallback positions of self-observation,
a certain sense of instantaneous reframe to it,
a pause of reflection to overcome a lost moment,
the harnessing of re-intention to complete,
the sense of isolation assigned to task,
the promise of results that have the blossom to them,
the distant pronouncement brought by effort into frame,
all that backlog of memories like that,
the fanfare of the pledge, the promise, the word of honor,
then into the brought forth, the realized, the complete.
effort realized into the fulfilled.
a life filled with step by step as gravity would measure,
a resounding posture of memory exalted as effort's reward.
but effortless effort?
that is like telling all military personnel, face to face,
that war is dumb,
that it is a duping of the entire species,
that is serves no good,
but falsifies any responsible means,
that all of effort is a war within the self,
that nothing should be done without passion,
yet passion can not be learned, as if task assigned,
that effortless is a singular wisdom from within
and we don't have a culture to personally teach it.
for those that can and do,
live beyond our collective cultural means.
those of effortless effort stream existence
and not swim in it.
there is no comparative rope-ladder linking the two.
the syntax of one does not provide
for the substantive basis of the other.
an effort world cannot describe as effortless existence.
and an effortless world does not subscribe
to effort as existence.
this is not apples to oranges.
these are different species of language is usage.
effort may dream of effortless,
but effortless does not stand on the bedrock of effort
and reach for the sky.
one has breath to word with,
while the other lives within the sky . . .
