the confinement of a logical mind
is like walking the dog of self-dialogue
that obediently follows one's own thinking.
where there is a bed-check
of every sentence spoken,
there is an imagined favorable audience response,
as if affirmative of method is expected
without specific regard for topic spoken.
yet all the right apparel of voice
and language spoken
may only produce
a well dressed lip-service,
tasking at its appointments,
as if conversation of itself
is a passing grade . . .
