Our minds create
our own medicine
as if that as a term applies.
Our experience attempts
to intervene and mediate,
gaining evidence and providing
self-conscious cause.
The tissues,
as results there from,
may leave a trail to follow
while the pulses tell
of our subtle
but current response.
Our chemistry suggests elixirs
in somewhat alchemical ways
to challenge
the existing environment,
treating the electrical mix
with an unseen fury.
We mean to
address this environment
but vaguely address the cause.
Our state of being provides
the metaphorical weather
for all this ongoing to occur.
We, by story, make look
at the clouds within
as the stormy sky.
But really all of the space of us
is filled with so much more
then the invisible
and the sensory evident
to comment upon.
There is the electric
and the emptiness to embrace,
the constant movement
of what seems to be almost still.
But in a quantum sense,
within the confines
of the body as field,
it is oh so active
beyond the broad spectrum
of us, we narrowly perceive.
For our senses,
now trained away
and reporting to the mind,
seem to be the last
to crudely know
from within the narrow band
of what our senses can provide
in what is now experientially valid
and reducible to story, account,
identity or fact,
in the persuasion towards reason
to surmise and justify.
And so, in response,
placebo is a state of being
enhanced by this symbology
at work.
Rationalizations provide
the proper space and mechanisms
for the placebo effect
to be that work.
All of the space between
all that our atoms provides
for any placebo to be busy
is the silent fury of the ongoing
as that exchange
which then becomes manifest
and remains secured as undisclosed.
We are but a product
of urban myths and miracles
as placeboes are
much like ice sculptures
melting into sacred waters
of recovery,
for the human body
to reinvent and represent.
Our rational minds
as bloodhounds
are lost upon the scent.
The spectrum is now vaster
than the senses have permission
to hunt.
Oh bring us back results
in terms we use to understand.
Don’t intend to take us there
as part of the process as ourselves
for that god is greater
than the concept of our separation
from it would allow.
Feature us with tools of inquiry
that require submission
while what goes on through us
does not differentiate
by that way or means.
Walk us in vast circles
somewhat aimlessly
while our minds
make inadvertent footprints
into what we don’t know
as these means.
There is a claim, for us to know,
“forest for the trees”.
But we, in spite of claims,
are the forest and yet,
by our current methods,
we only know
how to problematically identify
as the trees . . .
