we are all of the child mind,
before it was taken up
by an experience overlay.
surely there was treasure
but not in a worldly assessed way.
expectations of others
functioned as cutting tools.
repetition became the sensory downplay.
recognition became a second language learned.
emotion had to have the particulars of intentioned.
self was a conjugation of referential standards.
one descended into a consciousness of relationals.
speech was a constant ferreting out of specifieds.
memories had three-dimensional acts to rely upon.
there was the metronome of next moments impressing.
experience didn't have a surface to face anymore.
imbibed, implored, immersed, employed,
as if these were the rituals
of conscious being, taken up to mean.
we are all of the child-mind.
yet before it came to be,
as referenced to,
as that of,
the empowerment of a child's wondrous mind . . .
