standing in front of puddles as drum-skins,
presenting of a stationary marching corp.
forrest edges are as tall carpets
in a loss of a sense of scale,
magically impressing before me.
a group of gathered buildings,
as books on a wide open countryside bookshelf,
as if as a sense of false scale
brings me wonderment into laughter.
where long lines of traffic seemingly stalled,
as the wonder of script aerials, sighted on a page.
small towns with one major intersection,
as a centerpiece on a large diner table spread.
silos from a far distance sighting,
as salt and pepper shakers far across the counter.
a river as shimmering ribbon
on an ever so large package wrapped.
a tall big-sized dumpster
as a stud-cufflink
on a long-sleeved concrete alley arm of a shirt.
billboards as clothing tags
on a lateral closet edgewise,
as a hi-way view in passing.
sky-shots down on farmlands,
as patchwork quilts laid open for airing.
park-benches statued with stilled people
as art-studies of human-kind on display.
train crossings as zipper-lines
on massive who would wear that apparel?
lofted views down onto large housing subdivisions
as concrete hieroglyphics in street-print,
on a house-faced backdrop page.
oh, what sight can see,
when set free from the script precision of scale . . .
