the ritual of recognition,
it's a negative affirmation.
learned from birth.
practiced daily, since.
initially identifying itself
as separate from.
experience is its constant method.
yet we are the search
to claim connection
with what is.
well, not so by practice.
we create perception as standalones,
to live in denial by daily perceived.
and 'self' is this rejection,
but otherwise ignored.
yearning is ever the search,
for the essence of connectivity.
we put trust in languaging,
as if to overcome our denial.
yet accepting, as thought provoked,
is ever the distance between.
everything phenomenalized
is radical separatism.
even "I love you"
honors that our distance between.
say we came upon oneness,
with what skills used,
would we notice
rather than immerse?
we pretend connections,
yet expressed by cognitive denials.
emotions are always making
a concerted effort to connect,
even in profound denial,
still working an antithetical premise.
but mind is ever the crossing guard of awareness.
maybe we invented
the conundrum that we are,
and yet have a reality context,
to ever paradoxically carry on . . .
