I like the leap of faith encouraged
between the meanings
of one word to the next.
the breath pause
that stalled in vacant thought.
the blink that consciously calls
for a reframe of what sight offers.
the muddledom before thought justifies.
the mind search that occurs
for when lost
is in need to be found.
the vacant stare,
trying to impress my awareness need.
how hopeless hungry waits
to get my attention.
how someone somewhere in the world
always knows what time it is,
is on their lips reporting.
I have that kind of
leap of faith.
where I trust my sensing,
more than I do of my knowing . . .
