as humans,
our style of focus exists as conflict.
we bring contentiousness to the reframe,
looking for positioning in reaction or response.
we can't actually freely go there,
but we can take-on what it is, for where it is.
it's an add-on to what and where we already are.
experience is an enveloping slipstream of potential.
since we have the immediate past of linger
and the expectant future billowing with thought,
both need elbow room in their comings and goings.
so focus has to make room
for the imposition of now
and all of the tangentials
that make it into an understanding's construction.
even self-listening has its own passive-aggressiveness.
glitches of unsaid questioning mindfully occur.
follow-along has to stay current with the incoming
and yet edit on the fly.
this could all lead into an inner conversation
or just stay in the instructional or the overheard.
focus is not only the verbiage on the intake
but also the presence of deliverance,
the tone of carriage,
and the topic's extensiveness, then verbally identified.
once in gear, it's like a bicycle speed
that keeps one upright and functioning
in an a to b sort of ongoing way.
so in the buffet-line
of first line conscious deliverances.
hi, what up?
and we are on our mindful way(?) . . .
