the mirror of time

if time is a mirror,

then one only gets to see

what one's skillset is gifted to observe.

and that observation task is assigned

to the mind of the recipient's viewing.

thus a conundrum of the first order occurs.

the question is,

how to get past recognition's positioning

as being closer 

to the bowl of deep inquiry,

then curiosity's interest to proceed.

for identification lunges at every morsel presented

and understanding takes quick bites. 

what is left after sniffs, chews and swallows,

are a vacancy of tiny almost invisible crumbs,

as sensory's invitational covers  

as if vacancy's last breath is conclusively done.

all the while, presenting itself as time-honored,

as offering patience to the observer by rest assured

conclusions made.

when that challenge to observe

already falsifies the grand notion of deeper inquiry.

for inquiry is only a format of discovery

and as audience in conclusionary consent.

therefore inquiry has no transcendent means of operation.

the cornerstones of science sees to that.

a working scientific premise goes like this:

if you go there, wherever there is,

and you eventually come back with the goods,

as by our means of quantifying as such

that those goods have to be valuable to us 

by the mediums as we currently are,

in an additive fashion of knowledge gained.

otherwise its be seen

as not further beneficial,

just distantly ponderous 

or genealogically philosophical.

neither having a deeper breath of interest possible.

the reflection from time mentored will see to that.

for with time, as a mirror of usage,

one only gets to see

what one is gifted to independently observe

in the privacy of their awareness

by not as public knowledge . . .
