what if our religion
was just self-consciousness,
in total and resolute surrender.
if prayer was our breathing.
if the temple was our world
beyond the confines of experience.
if holy water was our relationship
with vibrational intelligence,
among and within us.
if our practice
was to profoundly and immersively witness
from beyond consciousness.
if forests were our reflective teachers
and our private confidants.
if meditation was conscious awareness
beyond the temporal and the circumstantial.
if wisdom was a channeled sense of higher self
readily available,
every waking moment.
if sentience was our implore-quality
of embrace to every thing.
and if love was the quanta of the universe
passing through us
with verve and constancy . . .
