She
formed high towers for people to lookout
so
that pleasantries could fly eye to eye, close by.
She
built a finely woven weightless canopy
of
sighs so that dreams could be recycled
to
a different nest of mind each night.
She
cultivated the venting of wicked thoughts
so
that all could pass more gently into the light.
She
took hostile feelings on field trips
so
that each could meet its true source of pain.
She
allowed the bludgeoning
of
innocent bystanders, so that separatism
had
no bearing on the collective richness of life.
She
made believers bob for their god
in
a gravy of the unseen
so
that actions revealed
a
different life of spiritual expectations.
She
forced the undetected
to
perform acts of self-branding
so
that all things were evident and eventually linked.
She
shaped the earth into a facial expression
so
that all could wake up to the same tranquil face.
She
confiscated the last breath of all the dying into one place so that true human
surrender could be uncovered and richly shared.
She
harvested small tight blossoms
from
the collective unconscious
so
that desperate lives
would
have a fragrance for recollection.
She
fondled all the places on people
that
were untouched
so
that the roots of communication
were
forever changed.
She
made violence
into
an understandable set of simple gestures
so
that response was clearly visually available to all.
She
divided greed into a dissection of its parts
so
that the act of its assembly was also
the
act of its reflective self-revelation.
She
made speech a last act of final resort
so
that all other means of connectedness
were
formally served first and foremost.
And
lastly, she took back purpose
from
each and every mind
and
then in one shocking fell swoop,
she
gather all of us from everywhere
and
from the beyond, deep beyond the beyond,
she
then took us there . . .
