Someone suggested
that I should
meditate,
for fifteen minutes
a day.
And so I sat down
in front of the
clock
and started to
meditate.
And eventually the
clock face disappeared.
When I returned,
the face was sort of
different.
It looked
unfamiliar.
I didn’t recognize
it.
I asked, do I know
you?
Have we met before?
You seem somewhat
familiar
but I can’t place
you.
The clock face did
not take it personally
and continued to
monitor my meditative state
until time ran out . . .
